  • Public profile information (name, profile photo, location if public)
  • Fitness statistics and trends

Usage Data

We collect information about how you use RunRival, including app interactions, features used, challenge participation, messaging activity, and technical data like device type and operating system.

Location Information

Location data is only collected if you explicitly opt-in. You can choose to share general location (city/region) for matching purposes or keep your location completely private.

We use your information for the following purposes:

  • Matching Algorithm: Analyzing your running data to find compatible partners
  • Challenge Verification: Tracking and verifying challenge progress using Strava data

What We Share

Within RunRival, other users can see information you choose to make public:

  • General location if you opt to share it

What We Don't Share

  • Specific route data or exact locations
  • Private messages between users
  • Detailed activity data beyond general statistics

  • Challenge history: Up to 2 years for prize verification
  • Usage analytics: Aggregated and anonymized data may be retained longer

RunRival is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we discover that a child has provided personal information, we will delete it immediately.

8. International Users

RunRival operates globally. If you're located outside the United States, please note that your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, where our servers are located. By using RunRival, you consent to this transfer.
